Certifications and Licenses

Advanced Air Ambulance is fully licensed and certified by the Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services (HRS) and Emergency Medical Services (EMS). All of the network air ambulance aircraft and equipment utilized are licensed and certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The Medical Flight Crew is required to be certified in ACLS and Aviation Physiology. They are also required to attend the Aero-Medical Initial Training Program or equivalent. In addition, they have successfully completed the U.S. Department of Transportation Air Medical Crew National Standard Curriculum-Advanced or equivalent approval by our medical director.

The Flight Crew minimum certification requirements: Multi-Engine, Instrument, ATP with 3000 Minimum Hours Required, PIC. They also follow yearly continuing training requirements such as: Flight Safety International, FAA Line and Instrument Check Rides.
