Medical Flights, Arranged in One Call

Tell us where the patient is and where they need to be. Our flight team arranges the whole medical transport — a ground ambulance at each end, a medically equipped aircraft and crew, and the handoff at the receiving hospital. Any hour, any day of the year.
  • Flying patients since 1990
  • Thousands of missions completed
  • Zero accidents or incidents
  • Bases in the US and Europe

One call plans the medical flight, prices it, and flies it — bedside to bedside.

What a medical flight costs

Three things set the price of a medical flight: the distance, the aircraft the route calls for, and how much medical care the patient needs in the air. That’s why we don’t publish rates. We price each transport individually, free of charge and with no obligation, so you have a real figure for your exact route before you decide anything.

If the patient's insurance may cover air medical transport, we can help you work through it:

  • Coverage and benefits. We can assist in checking what the policy covers for medical transport.
  • Pre-authorization. Where it's possible, we may assist in obtaining it.
  • Claim submission. After the transport, we can assist in submitting the claim on the patient's behalf.

We work with any insurance company that guarantees payment, and we accept private, government, and corporate pay. Have a lower quote from another provider? Tell us — we'll do our best to match it.

What a medical flight quote includes

  • Medically equipped aircraft
  • Flight medical crew
  • Ground ambulance at both ends
  • Coordination, start to finish

A single figure in writing, before anything is booked.

“…a quote that said final price from the get go.” — Rock A., Google

Which kind of medical flight does the patient need?

Not every patient needs a private jet. We match the aircraft, the crew, and the equipment to the patient's condition and the route.

“They need critical care for the whole flight”

Private Air Ambulance

A dedicated medical aircraft with an ICU-standard, ALS-equipped interior and a critical-care flight crew — for patients who need continuous care in the air, or the most direct route, bedside to bedside.

  • Neonatal and pediatric transport
  • Infectious-disease (isolation) transport
  • Organ-transplant transport

“They're stable, but can't sit through a long flight”

Commercial Airline Stretcher

An FAA-approved stretcher aboard a scheduled airline flight, with our medical crew beside the patient from departure to arrival. On long international routes it can save a family up to tens of thousands of dollars compared with a private air ambulance.

  • Family can usually book seats on the same flight

“They mainly need a clinician beside them”

Medical Escort / Flight Nurse

A flight nurse or paramedic accompanies a stable patient on a commercial flight — handling medication, mobility, and every connection along the way.

  • Long-distance ground ambulance, when the road is the better option

Medical flight questions, answered

Most people use the terms interchangeably. An air ambulance is a dedicated aircraft with a medical interior and flight medical crew. “Medical flight” also covers a stretcher aboard a scheduled commercial airline and a nurse or paramedic escorting a patient in a regular seat. We arrange all three, and a flight coordinator will tell you which one the patient actually needs.

It depends on the route, the aircraft, and how much care the patient needs in the air, so the general figures you find online rarely apply to a specific case. One call gets you a quote that is free and carries no obligation.

Some health and travel policies cover medically necessary air transport in full, some in part, and some not at all. Our flight coordinators can assist with verifying coverage, obtaining pre-authorization where possible, and submitting a claim on the patient’s behalf after the transport. We work with any insurance company that guarantees payment.

Coordination starts with your first call, any hour of any day. Most domestic transports can depart within 24 hours of confirmation, sometimes the same day. International routes need flight permits and clearances, so we’ll give you a realistic timeline for your route when you call.

Often, yes. It depends on the aircraft: larger aircraft take more companions, and if the patient needs extra medical crew aboard, seats may be limited. On commercial-stretcher flights family can usually book seats on the same flight, and on most neonatal and pediatric flights a parent travels with their child. Ask when you call and we’ll confirm what the aircraft for your route allows.

One all-inclusive figure: the ground ambulance that collects the patient, the flight with its medical crew and equipment, and the ground ambulance to the receiving facility, unless you ask us to arrange it differently. You’ll know exactly what the price covers before anything is booked.
