Advanced Air Ambulance turns 30 this month. The company began in Miami in 1990 with a simple promise: move a patient safely from one bedside to another, and handle everything in between. Three decades later that is still the whole job.

The standard was set on day one and has not moved. An ICU-standard medical cabin on an FAA-approved stretcher system. Crews certified in ACLS and Aviation Physiology, trained to the U.S. DOT Air Medical Crew National Standard Curriculum under medical-director oversight. ATP-rated pilots with more than 3,000 flight hours. The aircraft matched to the mission, from King Air and Cessna turboprops to Learjet and Gulfstream jets.

Thirty years of missions have taken those crews across the United States and along the corridors connecting the US and Europe with Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, with permits, fuel, and customs arranged by our own team. Through all of it the dispatch office has been staffed around the clock, every day of the year, with a flight coordinator answering live, and every quote has been one all-inclusive figure. After thousands of completed missions, the safety record stands at zero accidents or incidents.

That record belongs to the people who built it: the pilots, flight nurses, respiratory therapists, paramedics, and coordinators who have carried patients and their families through some of the hardest days of their lives. To all of them, and to the hospitals, case managers, and families who have trusted us, thank you.

Here is to the next 30 years.
